to be honest i think the fact that people have to travel to zimbabwe just to get an ID is ridiculous especially those who came to the UK at a young age were they couldnt get an ID where do they expect people to get the money from and its just very inconvinient, it's the only country (according to my knowledge) that have this stupid rule. What's the use of their embassy in the UK then if it can't be dealt with here, im just so frustrated

It's all very well for fortune to say his wedding was not a show!! For those who doesn't know him like I do, he is nolonger with the so called love of his life. Not sure how anyone can justify this. They live 2 countries apart and hate each other's family and friends. Makes me sick just because you are on some new Zealand tv doesn't make you a celebrity lol

I have been to Zim before christmas this year 2011. To avoid a sunburn I had my woodland boonie heat with me and I forgot to put it back into my backback after leaving the national park... BAD IDEA!!! There was a road block. After 50,- USD fine and 30 minutes of negotiations, and the positive influence of the family name of my girlfriend (grandfather was a former politician there) we were allowed to pass. Actually they wanted to arrest me for that...

mea culpa!

Hey, I live in France and currently applying for an F1 USA visa. The problem is I need a my passport due to F1 visa application regulations because my passport expires soon. I need to apply for a new passport but I don't have my ID card because it was stolen along with my wallet when I studied in Namibia. Would I be able to DHL my application papers and a photocopy of my I.D instead of travelling back to Zimbabwe or do I need to travel back to Zimbabwe to obtain another I.D before I can apply for another Zimbabwean Passport ?

Thanks for the explanation..bro. I am a zimbo also in the middle east and I would like to say truly you had quite an ordeal but finally you got what you needed.truly my passport too expired but i got it in 5 weeks.the situation is very bad especially the building itself. and I am wondering what are the inclusive government officials doing about that building.its a shame to say the least.on the other hand it took me 12 months to have a residency here in the middle east. there was no explanation every time they would give me a residency for 4 months 2 months and 1 month.if there is a holiday here people do not go for work because the locals here have the highest office bearers and they can choose to be at work or be not as they wish kayfee as they say.you have to wait. the laws and rules are not consistent they change everyday. if you have a court case it may take up to 5 years. if you have a car accident with or by a local the alien will have a fix because the local policeman pretend they do not understand English. the foreign resident suffers for most of the time.in the bank or hospital for example the local do not queue they go straight to the front. the workers here do not sent you back because they are afraid pf victimization but he local resident.
a chilling story is about one south African who worked at a certain mall and he had a disagreement with local buyer on something. the local customer fired him. can you imagine. he asked for his passport and the local went to buy an air ticket and informed the manager of that decision., in 3 days the man was out pf the country.just to mention a few cases people this place is like hell and sometimes when you hear and see this your blood boils and yet the great advocates of the so called democracy USA and UK are silent are about this.this world is full of colonial hypocrites.

The Embassy has said that it could take up to 18 months but if I pay 300 US Dollars I could have it maybe in 2/3 weeks???? Has anyone heard of this?

Please help.
